We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.
Data Protection
NSHAMA are required to store personal information regarding your entry details in order to organise race starts. Full information will be shared only between event directors, restricted basic information of name and age group will be passed onto timing staff, names, clubs and age groups will be made public in start lists and results. By submitting a phone number and email address you agree to receive text messages and emails for event correspondence from the event directors.
Event Registration
You must answer all event registration questions honestly. It is your responsibility to enter your email address and mobile number correctly and ensure your spam filters are set to receive emails from NSHAMA. Any Participant who does not receive event information may refer to the event website. Entries are non-transferable. NSHAMA reserve the right to cancel your participation in the event if any information provided by you is found to be inaccurate in any way. If any details provided by you are incorrect, or change after entering one of our events, you must notify Onside Partners immediately in writing by contacting the event organizers’, who’s details are listed on the event page.
Event Number Collection
When collecting your event race number, you must have photographic identification to confirm your identity or your transaction id number. If you cannot produce either of these, you may not be able to participate.
Rules and Regulations
Each event will have its own rules and regulations set out by NSHAMA. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have read and understood all the rules and regulations as per event. Any event that takes place on the public highway will follow the rules of the relevant local government department.
Age
NSHAMA dictate the minimum participant age for an event on the basis of health and safety. By signing up for the event, you are declaring yourself to be at least the minimum age required for the event. There is no upper age limit for any given event unless specified.
Participant Identification
For each event you will be required to wear race numbers or other identification numbers, these may be colour-coded for multiple events happening on the same day. The identification numbers are to provide a visual back up for any event marshal or any member of the public to distinguish between competitors. Where an event requires the use of additional equipment, then you will be required to have identification numbers for you and your equipment. All identification numbers or tags must be worn as directed by the event organisers at all times during the event and must not be modified in any way.
Start Times and Alterations
Provisional start times will be published with the event information at least 7 days before the event. If a high number of entries come in during the last 7 days, the start times may be subject to change. These will be published to the event page accordingly on the relevant event page and informed directly to all participants via email.
Event Format and Alterations
Course maps and information will be provided at least 3 days prior to the event on the relevant event page. This will give you a chance to familiarise yourself with the course and make yourself aware of the direction and format of the event. Any alterations to the course or format of the event will be made with as much notice as possible. All alterations will be made available on the event page and provided in the event briefing.
Cut Off Times
Some events may require a cut off time; this will be due to your health and safety or due to restriction on the course for any number of reasons. If any event requires a cut off time, this will be made available in the event information.
Removal of Participants
You must show respect and courtesy towards other participants and spectators. If you behave in a manner which, in the opinion of NSHAMA presents a risk to the safety of any other participant, spectators or anyone else in attendance at the event this may result in you being disqualified from the event and removed from the venue. You may also be removed from the event for breaching the rules and regulations, or for displaying poor sportsmanship.
Timing and Results
All events will be timed electronically. For events where you are issued with a timing chip - no timing chip or the incorrect display of a timing chip means no time. Timing chips must be worn as directed. Unless you are racing, contact with any timing chip is prohibited, as any contact may provide you with a false time. Onside Partners will do their very best to provide the most accurate finish times and where necessary, split times. If for any reason there is a computer glitch and results cannot be provided on the day of the race, these will be made available at the earliest opportunity on the www.runsqueak.com website. If for any reason, all event results are lost, and no time can be given, we will not provide a refund.
Lost or Unreturned Timing Chips
For events with timing chips, once you are issued with your timing chip you will be responsible for its safekeeping. You must attach your timing chip as directed until the end of the event, where it will be requested to be returned to us. We may use different timing chips for different types of events and you will be advised at the time of receiving your race pack of the type of timing chip you are be issued with.
Media
You agree to photographs and video being taken at the event and that any images of you and anyone that accompanies you to view or spectate at the event may be used by NSHAMA in any media regarding the event and to market and advertise the event, or any other similar events.
Advertising
We will advertise all sponsors of our events either through the event website, Social Media or on the event information pages. The event venue will be provided by link on the event pages. Third party companies who are part of the event will have agreement with NSHAMA to promote themselves. Other companies who are not actively part of the event will not be allowed to advertise or promote themselves actively in the event registration of each event unless prior agreement has been granted by NSHAMA.
Equipment
Any equipment used by participants during any NSHAMA event must be legal for the event and fit for purpose.
Lost Property/Damage to Property
provided or otherwise are left entirely at your own risk. NSHAMA, managed venues or landowners will not be held responsible for any lost or damaged property during an event. NSHAMA will give to the lost and found department of the host venue any lost property.
First Aid
Appropriate first aid arrangements will be made for each event. Should another participant need first aid on the course, you must make the next available marshal aware giving as precise location as possible. Should you need first aid and you are able to move, you must attempt to reach the nearest event marshal. Should another participant need urgent medical help, it is your duty to stop and assist in ensuring that medical services are alerted. No allowances will be made on your race time.
Adverse Weather Measures
If for any reason the course or event has to be modified due to adverse weather conditions. A warning for forecast weather and proposed changes to the event will be posted on social media or the event website at the earliest possible opportunity. Adverse weather includes but is not exhaustive: Heat, Cold, Wind, Flooding, Snow and Ice.
Event Delay/Cancellations
If an event has to be postponed for any reason, NSHAMA will endeavor to arrange an alternative event, and you will be notified of the new date and venue of the rearranged event. These terms and conditions will continue to apply to the rearranged event. No refund will be given if you do not wish to participate in the rearranged event. Accommodation and travel fees will not be refunded if the event is re-scheduled. If an event has to be cancelled without the offer of a new event, there will be no refund of fees paid.
Timing Results
Any issues relating to the timing or results of the event should be raised within 72 hours of the event. We are unable to process any changes after this time. Issues raised will be cross-referenced and sorted out to the best of our ability.
Referee/Directors
Referees have input to the Event Directors, who have the final decision. Any appeals must follow the appropriate appeals process on the day.
Race Marshals
Marshals are an integral part of our events and in most cases they are volunteers who are giving up their time for your safety and enjoyment. So please be nice to them, and thank them whenever you can. Any abuse of the marshals or any other officials will result in an instant disqualification from the event, and potentially result in you being barred from participating in any other events organised by NSHAMA. You are responsible for knowing the course you are using. The marshals are there for your safety and although all will do their best to help you, you must not rely on them for course directions at any time.
Child Athletes & Participants
Any children taking part in our events can only enter with parental consent. This consent is provided when the entry is paid, as a parent or guardian has approved payment for the event. Children will be set distances according to their age and guidelines.
Race Waiver
In consideration of participate in the activities of the event detailed on this website, in addition to the payment of any fee, I do hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive, release, and forever discharge the organisers NSHAMA, its’ employees and agents, from any responsibilities or liability for injuries or damages resulting from my participation in the event. I do also hereby release all of those mentioned, from any responsibility or liability for any injury, including those caused by a negligent act or omission, of any of those mentioned or others acting on their behalf, arising out of or connected with my participation in any activities at the venue.
I understand and am aware that running is a potentially hazardous activity. I also understand that physical fitness activities involve a risk up to and including death and that I am voluntarily participating in these activities and using equipment and facilities with knowledge of the dangers involved. I hereby agree to expressly assume and accept any and all risk of injury and/or death.
I do hereby further declare myself to be physically sound and suffering from no condition, impairment, disease, infirmity, or other illness that would prevent my participation in any of the activities of the event. I acknowledge that I have either had a physical examination and have been given my physician’s permission to participate, or that I have decided to participate in activity without the approval of my physician and do hereby assume all responsibility for my participation in activities, and utilisation of equipment and facilities.
I hereby consent to and permit emergency treatment in the event of illness or injury while participating in the activities of the event.
